Papertrey December Blog Hop - Shine bright!

Hello!

It's been a while since I've entered the Papertrey Ink monthly blog hop, but I happen to be at home today, and I had planned to make some cards, and there was the inspiration just begging to be used! Yay! The challenge this month is to use both silver and gold on a single project. The second challenge was to photograph a shiny silver and gold card, lol!
I used Sparkle & Shine stamps and dies and the dots come from Harvest Berries.
As an aside... I have always been good at keeping all of my stamps, not losing a single one, even the little tiny ones. In the past two weeks I have discovered that I have lost a tiny dot, a tiny heart, and a tiny star! I'm devastated! There is no way I'll find those little ones anywhere in the mess that is our rumpus room. I fear they are lost forever. :-(

I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas. I certainly did. While I complain no end about the heat and humidity of Summer, I just love our Christmases swimming and having fun in the pool! The kids are happy, we're happy, it's awesome!

Edit to add: I'm joining in at CASology where the cue card is LIGHT.

Thank-you for visiting me. I hope to be back a few times over the next couple of weeks as I have a little time off work, which theoretically will translate into a little extra crafting time, yippee!

This is so pretty. I found it difficult to use silver and gold together, but you did it brilliantly. As for those tiny stamps, if they are PTI, and you can go through your old orders to find when you originally bought the sets, PTI will send you replacements for the little lost ones. Yes, they do that, and I have done it more times than I would care to admit.

This is CAS perfection, Michelle! I don't mind heat, but not a fan of humidity at all - hope it cools off a bit for you :)

Love how the 'shine' works up in silver. Did mine in gold. Beautiful shimmery card! Reading through your comments, loved learning we could have our lost stamps replaced. I have lost a few over the years, and felt heartsick. Each stamp has a home in a plastic disc cartridge, but those little ones are squirmy! Joyce is a wealth of stamping information! So glad she's had the experience!

I'm glad you had a happy and warm Christmas holiday frolicking in the pool! I wish you all the best in the new year and no more lost tiny stamps! Enjoy your time off!! Hugs, Darnell

I love this card!! I have to get the new dies for the shaker kit, I forgot about that :) I hate losing those tiny stamps, too...I was lucky enough to find a few over time. I hope you they come back to you eventually! Thank you so much for the love on my posts!! I really appreciated it.

This is absolutely stunning - I think that you smashed both challenges there!! ;) I'm sorry to hear about your missing stamps - I temporarily lost a tiny stamp once (like you, I don't lose ANYTHING!) but I was lucky that it did turn up, so I have my fingers crossed for you :)

I'm glad that you've had a great Christmas, I hope your seeing the New Year in was just as fabulous and wish you all the best for 2015 ;)

Gorgeous, shiny card! My crafty heart goes out to you on the lost stamps!! We've all been there I'm sure, but it doesn't lessen the sinking heart feeling when we discover the loss. And of course in the future those are always the images that would be "perfect" for our project! While cleaning this summer I squealed (really!) when I found the tiny star I've been missing for over a year stuck under an ink pad. How odd is that. Here's hoping they turn up for you!

Love the shine on your card and the fabulous sentiment! Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!
And I feel your pain about the lost stamps. I've lost a couple of tiny ones and also the "Happy" part of a Happy Birthday stamp that'd I'd cut into two. So devastating!
