CAS(E) This Sketch 129

Hello!

It's my sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch this week! :-)  I can't wait to see what everyone makes with it. This is my version.
I used Waltzingmouse Fine Feathers stamps and a few sequins. Super simple. Well, super simple except for the LONG time it took me to place each element, lol!
When I make cards, I usually focus on the bottom right corner. It is rare that I use the top left. I really enjoyed making this card. I'm now on the look-out for some vertical sentiments so that I can use the sketch again just as I designed it!

Thanks for dropping by.

Christmas in June?

Hello!

I've been thinking it is about time to start making Christmas cards. Last year I almost exhausted my supplies. If I don't start now I'll never have enough for this year! I've been wanting to join in over at MUSE Christmas Visions, and finally I have done it. Yay!
I used SU! Dasher with a Mama Elephant sentiment. The background is sponged distress ink and glimmer mist. It's nice and "Twinkle-y". :-)

My inspiration came from the MUSE Christmas Visions card by Betty.
I took the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.
So, one card down, about one hundred left to make. ;-)

Thanks for visiting!

CAS(E) This Sketch 128

Hello!

Well that week whooshed by very quickly! I'm here with my card for CAS(E) This Sketch! Put on your sunglasses, it's bright. The sketch was perfect for pulling out some of my neglected patterned paper.
I used PTI Wonderful Words: Friends stamps and die. The paper is from Stampin' Up!
My kids are about to finish school for the mid-year holidays. They have three weeks off school. My youngest daughter has a few ballet commitments in that time, but other than that they get a break. Unfortunately for me, I still have to work. I wish I was on three weeks of holiday with the kids!

Thanks for coming to visit.

Fusion - Bright Butterfly

Hello!

You're in for a treat this week over at Fusion Card Challenge! The inspiration is BRIGHT and has flowers and a butterfly. What more can you ask? The design team have knocked this one out of the park, and I'm sure our gallery is going to jump right off the screen! Here is my card.
I used SU! Corner Garden and Wplus9 Strictly Sentiments along with Memory Box butterfly dies.
I used both inspiration photo and sketch. If you turn the sketch upside down, I'm sure you'll be able to see it. ;-)

Make sure you pop over the check out the other design team member cards, and then go and make your own version! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

CAS(E) This Sketch 127

Hello!

This week's sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch is beautiful in it's simplicity. Although butterflies were at the front of my mind, I moved in a different direction creatively and replaced the butterfly with a flower.
I used PTI Lovely Layers and Keep It Simple: Sympathy stamps. I used PTI Lovely Layers dies. Ink colours are PTI Melon Berry, Soft Stone, Smokey Shadow and SU! Crumb Cake and Soft Suede.
My colours for this card were inspired by Papertrey Ink Make it Monday where Dawn has us stamping with neutrals.

Thank-you for dropping by to visit me! I appreciate it!

CAS(E) This Sketch 126

Hello!

When I saw the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch for this week, I envisioned a layered creation. Somehow I made a one-layer card instead, and managed to stamp the sentiment in the wrong spot, but I like it there, lol!
I used Altenew Striped Florals stamps with a little masking and coloured with Copics. The sentiment is from SU! Regarding Dahlias. I drew the frame with a Copic Multiliner.
Winter arrived this week. It snowed on Monday night down south (around Canberra and the snowfields) and the cold air made its way up here shortly afterwards. On the week-end we were in t-shirts and feeling hot, this week the mornings have had fresh 1 degree starts some days. It still gets to a very warm 20 degrees during the day, but the starts are slightly chilly (especially with no heating in the home).

Thanks for dropping by!

Fusion - Blue Skies

Hello!

I will admit that when I saw the inspiration photo for this week's Fusion Card Challenge, I experienced a touch of fear. Nautical themes are so tricky for me! I thought, "Oh well, I'll just use the sketch this week..." and THEN, something happened! All of a sudden, while working on the sketch, the inspiration photo started to influence my card! I am so thrilled with how this card turned out, despite it's wobbly start in my imagination. I've proven again that when mojo is scarce, just sit down and start making a card. The mojo will show up eventually. ;-)
I used MFT Blue Skies stamps, Memory Box Puffy Clouds dies, PTI Spiral Notebook die, Hero Arts Envelope Pattern background stamp, and SU! Watercolour Wonder paper. That's a hotch potch of companies, isn't it?
For those of you wondering how my daughter went on school camp - when I collected her last Friday afternoon I asked how camp went and, for the first time ever when returning from camp, she said, "Great!" with a great big smile on her face! Yay! I was so happy. She was exhausted, but she had fun.

Thanks for coming to visit!
