Hello!

It's time for CAS(E) This Sketch! This week's sketch is awesome (again)! Another one for me to put into my stash of sketch ideas for future cards. :-)

I made a one-layer card using multi-step stamping.
Stamps are Altenew Vintage Roses and PTI Scripted. Inks are Altenew (which are just lovely to stamp with).
Thanks for visiting! I hope you're inspired to join us this week.

NBUS#9 and Time Out #75 - CASEing Ksenija

Hello!

Time Out Challenge 75 has the prettiest inspiration from Ksenija (Sweet Kobylkin). Our challenge is to CASE her with our own twist.

For my card I took the basic layout and design from Ksenija's card but expanded the glittery side strip, darkened the tone-on-tone stamping in the background, and added a few bits of bling.
I used Uniko Originally Organic stamps. Card base is PTI Soft Stone.

This is Ksenija's gorgeous inspiration card.
I'm also entering into Darnell's NBUS Challenge#9 where she is celebrating her wedding anniversary and blogaversary in one giant celebration. I meant to join in last week, but didn't get to the craft room fast enough! My NBUS is my Uniko stamp set. It has been sitting on my desk awaiting some love for WAY TOO LONG! This week's optional themes include a hidden sentiment and/or CASEing. I didn't create a hidden sentiment on this one (keep your eyes peeled for a future post) but I did CASE. :-) Darnell is heading in for surgery in a couple of days and I wish her the very best. I am sure she will be showered with hundreds of cards to cheer her on her recovery!
Thanks for dropping by to visit!

Tag You're It! #63

Hello!

Karin's cute little tag caught my eye this week and sparked my imagination, so I decided to join in the fun at Tag You're It! with my own little circle tag.
I used PTI Heart-2-Heart #7 stamps and dies as well as MFT stitched circle dies to create the tag.
Thanks for visiting!

ATCAS103 and CASology232 - Make a Wish

Hello!

I had a little bit of time today to create a card. Yippee! I created a black and white masked floral arrangement and topped it with a die cut sentiment. I love the simple elegant beauty of the monochromatic colour scheme.
I used Altenew Adore You stamps and PTI die for the sentiment.

I'm entering this into CASology where the theme is CUT - I used a die-cut sentiment.
I'm also entering into Addicted to CAS where the code word is WISH - sentiment is Make a Wish
Thank-you for dropping by to visit!

CAS(E) This Sketch 205

Hello!

For this week's CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge we have a sketch that might provide some challenges to our participants! I cannot wait to see how everyone interprets it. :-)

My card is large - 5.5" x 8.5" - and was made for one of my team who is moving a long way away for work, all the way to very Far North Qld to a remote town. We will miss her, but I am sure that she will have many adventures up there. Her favourite colour is pink, so a pink card it was to be!
I used Altenew Beautiful Day stamps and built the sentiment using a Mama Elephant alphabet set. There are times when I realise I REALLY need some big bold sentiments in my stash. ;-)
Thank-you for visiting! I hope you're inspired to join in the fun!

Fusion - Green and Gold

Hello!

What a fabulous gallery we had for the Fusion Card Challenge 3rd Anniversary! I'm imagining that our newest challenge will bring another fabulous array of gorgeous cards! The inspiration photo is perfect for Australia Day (26th of January) with some beautiful wattle (acacia/mimosa) and the green and gold theme.

This time around I only used the inspiration photo and not the sketch.
I used PTI Painted Petals stamps.
Tonight I am a bit distracted as I watch the news bulletins for updates on the big bushfire on the Sunshine Coast. The fire brigade are outside my Dad's home while the fires rage behind their neighbours' houses, and my cousins' home a short distance away is also under threat. I'm am praying that the Fire Service gets this fire under control tonight. It's been so extremely hot that the conditions are unfortunately perfect for bushfire. :-(  Edit for update: Fire crews worked through the night. The Rural Fire Service volunteers stepped into action to relieve the exhausted Fire & Emergency officers. My step-mother posted video of the fire raging right behind their street with the emergency services people working to save all the homes. The good news is that this morning the fire is controlled and no homes (or people) were lost. So thankful! Now to pray for a good dump of rain!

Thank-you for visiting.

CAS(E) This Sketch 204

Hello!

What a busy week I've had! I'm back to work this week, wishing I was still on holidays with the kids. ;-) The kids still have over a week of holidays left before they return to school for the new year. I think they are starting to look forward to spending all day with their friends again.

I'm here with my card for this week's CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge. The sketch is a beautiful super-CAS style that I really love.
I used Altenew Adore You stamps, did a little masking, embossed the simple sentiment, added a couple of sequins and voila! I was done. I make it sound simple, but sometimes these super-CAS cards can be the most difficult to get just right! ;-)
I hope you're inspired to join us in the fun!

Thanks for visiting!

I used PTI Propose a Toast and SU! Brushwork Alphabet.

And because I couldn't stop at just one card for this great sketch I made another. This card would make a pretty set.
I used Altenew Vintage Roses and Painted Greetings stamps.
I can't wait to see what you all make with this sketch! I'm sure the gallery will be full of gorgeous cards!

Fusion - 3rd Anniversary Challenge

Hello!

It's Fusion's 3rd Anniversary! Yay! To welcome in the New Year and to celebrate we've invited some friends to join us as Guest Designers and my guest is Therese Calvird, a fellow Australian who lives just down the road from me a couple of hours. We haven't met in person yet, but I think 2017 is the year! ;-)

To get started I'll share my card. I did some watercolouring and used both inspiration photo and sketch to create my card.
I used Altenew Beautiful Day stamps and coloured with Inktense pencils.
Next for Therese's gorgeous card.
Isn't that little fellow so cute?! I'm in love! Therese made a video for this one and you really should head over to her blog to check it out!

Thank-you for visiting today! I hope you're inspired to join us. I'm looking forward to seeing the gallery, it's sure to be a beauty with this lovely inspiration.

Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge - Happy New Year!

Hello!

Happy New Year to you all! I hope that 2017 brings you all things wonderful!

I'm starting off the year with a new design team. I've been an admirer of Kylie and Happy Little Stampers for a while now and so when the opportunity came along to join the HLS design team, I threw my hat into the ring. I was absolutely thrilled when Kylie told me she'd selected me!

This month's Watercolour Challenge has an optional twist to use a stencil. I did not use the optional twist this time around, instead creating a freeform watercolour background using lots of water and then adding salt. I created a bit of a grungey look for my background and my date. I quite like how it turned out!
I used HLS Big Bold Numbers stamps, PTI die, and Winsor & Newton Cotman watercolours to create the background.
Thanks so much for coming by to visit me! I hope you join in the watercolour fun with us this month!
