Hello!
Watercolour for Card Makers Online Card Class started yesterday. Last night I sat down to work on my day 1 homework and everything I did didn't turn out how I envisioned. So I put it all aside and went to bed. I love watercolour, but for a perfectionist CAS girl, it is very challenging!
So tonight I went back to try again and I saw one of the panels I made last night sitting there. I decided it was quite pretty after all, lol! So I finished the card. :-)
This card uses the emboss resist technique with a soft watercolour wash background. I fused the lessons from Jennifer Rzasa and Kristina Werner to create this card.
I have started another couple of cards tonight, but they're wet, so I have to wait until tomorrow night to play with them again. I need a few days off work to play with these techniques instead of trying to squeeze it all into the hour between the kids going to bed and me going to bed. ;-)
Thanks for coming by to visit! I hope to be back tomorrow night.

Wow, what a wonderful effect, Michelle! So soft and pretty!
i'm finding the same as you with this class - things look better after awhile and it's a difficult task for CAS designers - that said your card turned out wonderfully- very pretty colors.
Love the soft background colors & inlaid sentiment Michelle!
Love the soft, ethereal feel--so beautiful, Michelle!
That turned out lovely!
Gorgeous! I love the softness of your watercoloring!
I'm so glad you didn't bin this beauty before you went to bed, Michelle, so you could appreciate it in the morning! You've turned it into a pretty card!
It's funny you said that about watercoloring if you are a perfectionist ~ I just said those same words to another friend (well, I said OCD). It is a challenge to step out of our comfort zone and watch that paint go where it wants to go!! Have fun! Hugs, Darnell
It IS lovely. Good thing you left it til morning!
