Exploring Modern Beadwork

Hello!

I had a package take the slow boat to Australia recently. Most of the time the mail between US and Australia takes two to three weeks, this time it was five or six weeks. Every single day was an agony of anticipation awaiting two new stamp sets that I was extremely eager to try out! Today I sat down to play with the first of the two sets! Yay!

The stamp set used here is Modern Beadwork by Altenew. I have only just begun with this set... the possibilities are endless!
For this first card I took inspiration from this week's Colour Q Challenge - the colours as well as the picture.
Then I moved on to a Scandinavian cross stitch influence to create this next card. I need to play around with the patterns I can create, because this Scandinavian theme has some promise!
And for the last card, I moved back to American Indian theme. I created a feather. Can you see it?
Oh, I am going to have some fun with this set!

I am also joining in with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where the theme this week is Anything Goes.

Thanks for coming to visit! :-)

I can't believe you got such different looks with the same set Michelle - they look amazing, especially the feather. I'm in exactly the same boat as you at the moment... waiting on a Simon Says Stamp order which is currently stuck in Chicago. you'd think Australia was on a different planet sometimes! Thanks for playing along at Colour Q!

Great cards Michelle - love the way you used the colors on the first one!. If it's any consolation, sometimes mail can take 2+ weeks to get from one side of the US to the other :)

This set seemed hard to get for me. I'm still not sure how you got your own design from the beads but the effect is cool!

Wow...what a wonderful stamp set! And I love the look of all your cards, so fun and so beautiful too. I'm not sure I would have that much patience waiting...but really what else can you do. But you really took this set and rocked it. I love them all. Thank you so much for playing along with us at ColourQ, hope to see you again next week.
