WCMD - Pinspiration Focal Point

Hello!

Winnie & Walter are having the most fabulous celebration of World Card Making Day and they've invited us to join in the fun. The good news is that we don't need to use W&W products to take part. I have a wishlist as long as my arm of W&W products but have not yet made my first purchase. I must rectify this problem soon!

I am going to join in a few of the challenges because they're all fabulous. This one is in response to Heather's Pinspiration.
I used Altenew Hennah Elements and coloured with Copics.
This is the gorgeous pinspiration that reminded me that yellow, black, and white is one of my very favourite colour combinations.
While I was still full of this inspiration, I made a second card, and this one I'm also entering into Virginia's View Challenge 24 where the theme is "focal point".
I used SU! Celebrate Today stamps and dies.

I'm also entering this into CAS-ual Friday's Shaker Card challenge. This is my second ever shaker card. When I made the first one for my nephew last week my eldest daughter requested one for her birthday, too. :-)  My daughter turns 14 on Wednesday. I can't believe she's 14 already!

Thank-you for visiting!

CAS(E) This Sketch 141 - Celebrate!

Hello!

It's time for the new CAS(E) This Sketch! The sketch this week is fantastic, but it took me a long time to think up my card! I wanted to make a happy, joyful, card, and I think I finally came up with the right idea. :-)
I used SU! Celebrate Today stamps and matching dies.
This sketch reminds me of some of my favourite scrapbook layouts - it's so minimalist but still full of interest. I love it!

Tomorrow I am spending the day at home with my girls. School holidays have begun, and I'm really looking forward to enjoying some time away from work and just lazing around home with the kids, even if it is just one day. :-)

Thanks for dropping by!

Birthday balloons!

Hello!

I really love stamping balloons! They make me happy!
I masked and stamped SU! Celebrate Today stamps. I used silver embossing powder to create a little bling.

I'm entering this into One-Layer Simplicity Challenge #18 - sparkle and shine!
and also Virginia's View Challenge #16 - 100% Stamped!
Thank-you for visiting me!

CAS(E) This Sketch 123

Hello!

This week I went to Canberra for work. In Brisbane the temperature has barely dropped from Summer levels. The only hint of Autumn is the cooler evenings, but I'm still not needing to wear a jacket most times. Canberra is a different story. The maximum temps in Canberra are about the same as the minimum overnight temps in Brisbane, maybe. It's lucky I like cold weather! It gave me an excuse to pull out my long boots and overcoat. :-)

I'm here to bring you my card for this week's CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge. I made my card using the inlaid die-cut technique.
I used Stampin' Up! Celebrate Today stamps and dies. The paper is SU! DSP Watercolour Wonder.
I turned the sketch on its side for my card.

I hope you are all happy and well! Thanks for visiting me!

CAS(E) This Sketch 122

Hello!

We have a beautifully CAS sketch this week at CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge. Because it was so perfectly CAS, it took me several attempts to come up with my design, lol! Sometime, the more CAS, the more challenging I find it (and I love CAS). I ended up with this simple design.
I used Waltzing Mouse Simple Sprig stamps. A couple of my old circle punches worked perfectly on those flowers. The sentiment is wPlus9.
My first attempt ended up completely different to this sketch, so I'll share that another day. My second attempt was this one. I decided that my elements were too big, despite the fact that I (sort of) followed the sketch. I still like the card, though, so I'm sharing anyway! :-)
I used Stampin' Up! Celebrate today stamps and matching dies. Colours are Daffodil Delight and Blackberry Bliss.

Now, I'm running away for some beauty sleep. I have a washing machine repair person coming tomorrow. I'm hoping they'll solve the "completely unbalanced 238 times every single wash" problem. Otherwise, I'm up for a new machine. If the repair person arrives early enough, I can still wander off to work for the day. I'm not sure if I'm wishing him early or late, lol!

Thanks for dropping in!
