CAS(E) This Sketch 200 - Joy to You and Me!

Hello!

This week is CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge's 200th challenge! What a milestone! To celebrate, Chrissy is giving participants the opportunity to win a fun prize. Head over to the challenge blog to check it out!

My card for this week is a very literal translation of the sketch. And, of course, it's another Christmas card. I'm slowly building up that stash!
I used Uniko Winter Foliage and Mama Elephant Merry Greetings stamps.
I hope you're inspired to join in the fun with us this week. This sketch is so versatile, I'm sure the gallery is going to be outstanding. :-)

Thanks for visiting me!

Christmas in June?

Hello!

I've been thinking it is about time to start making Christmas cards. Last year I almost exhausted my supplies. If I don't start now I'll never have enough for this year! I've been wanting to join in over at MUSE Christmas Visions, and finally I have done it. Yay!
I used SU! Dasher with a Mama Elephant sentiment. The background is sponged distress ink and glimmer mist. It's nice and "Twinkle-y". :-)

My inspiration came from the MUSE Christmas Visions card by Betty.
I took the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.
So, one card down, about one hundred left to make. ;-)

Thanks for visiting!

Fusion - Shiny Pink!

Hello!

Ooh, this week's Fusion Challenge inspiration is awesome! Awesome photo inspiration and awesome sketch! It's all about shiny pink!

For me, my shiny pink showed up in my butterfly's body, and the banner from the sketch is represented by a simple sentiment.
I used Mama Elephant Femme Frames die, Mama Elephant Merry Greetings (those little stars), Mama Elephant Party Kit (sentiment), and Memory Box butterfly die.
Isn't that car cute? I'm not really a car person, but I think I could get used to driving a shiny pink car like this. :-)

I hope you find some time to join in with us this time around!

Thanks for visiting!

CAS(E) This Sketch 86 - Doily snowflake

Hello!

I'm flying in to share my card for CAS(E) This Sketch #86! The sketch this week is another fabulous one. For some reason I decided to torture myself by piecing together a cute little doily die-cut at the end of a busy day... it tested my patience, slightly, lol!
Does this photo look pink to you? The card is bright white, but on my screen the white is looking pinkish. Perhaps something went wrong during my editing (or the night time photography).
This sketch had me wishing for a nice big bee stamp. I love it!

Sorry for the quick post. I'll try to come back and chat a little more sometime soon! I hope you can take some time to visit the other CAS(E) This Sketch designers. They are all listed over on the side bar ---->

Thanks for visiting me!

CAS(E) This Sketch 78 - a little bit of snow

Hello!

Often when I start making a card with a sketch as an inspiration, I stick really close to the sketch. Sometimes I wander happily away on a little tangent. I think that may be what I've done with this week's card for CAS(E) This Sketch, lol! I started with water in mind and ended up with snow!
I used Mama Elephant stamps Merry Greetings and No Peeking. I added some buttons and sequins to finish it off.
It should be Winter here in Australia right now. Instead we're experiencing the hottest Autumn on record in Brisbane, and the temperatures are still high. Today was like Summer. It's crazy. My eldest daughter exploded this morning with, "Where is Winter? I love Winter! I love cold weather! It's too hot!" I agree with her. Tonight at 10pm it is 25c in our home with all the windows open. Too hot even for the doona, sigh!

Speaking of doonas, it's really time for bed! Thank-you for visiting. I hope you can spare some time to visit the rest of the CTS team ---> see over on the sidebar for the links, and then I hope you also find a little extra time to make a card and join in the fun!

Catch ya later!

Merry Christmas!

Hello!

It is Christmas Eve, my family are about to settle into our Christmas Eve traditions - setting out Santa's refreshments, putting the stockings out, getting to bed early so that everyone is sound asleep by the time Santa arrives. (That last bit is a bit of wishful thinking.)

I would like to take some time to say thank-you to all of you, my blogland friends, who add so much to my life through your thoughtful comments, your support, and the friendships we've made through this hobby of ours. The friendships are one of the nicest parts of keeping my blog. :-)  Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas! I hope you are all surrounded by friends and family and lots of love.

I made a card. It's actually for my hubby, but I was thinking of  you all as I made it. ;-)
I used Mama Elephant Merry Greetings stamps. I also used Mama Elephant dies. Colours are SU! Gumball Green and Poppy Parade.

The inspiration came from CAS(E) This Sketch.
I made a very literal interpretation of the sketch, because I find it totally beautiful! So clean, so CAS!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Pink Christmas!

Hello!

Last week, the evening before I went away for work, I received a parcel in the mail. My Mama Elephant order had arrived! I have just spent several frustrated days being unable to dig straight into this wonderful new stash of goodies - stamps, ink, dies! This card is the first I made, and there will be many to follow, I'm sure!
I just LOVE Mama Elephant. And I love the products even more now that they've expanded to include dies and ink. I can tell you that the stamps, dies, and inks are all excellent quality, I've tried them all. ;-) Anyway, onto my card. I made this for this week's Muse Challenge. Therese made a Christmas card with non-traditional colours, using snowflakes, so did I. :-)  I used Mama Elephant Merry Greetings and No Peeking. The dies are Femme Frames. Colours are SU! Pretty in Pink and Memento London Fog.
Today I watched my eldest daughter's end of year string ensemble concert. All of the school ensembles played - 8 ensembles for kids ranging from Grade 2 at school (beginner string students) to Grade 12 at school (most of them advanced string students). There were some amazing performances, as always. I'm always so proud watching the kids play so beautifully.

Now I'm off to bed for some beauty sleep before starting the work week again tomorrow. Thanks for visiting!
