Hello!
For CAS(E) This Sketch this week I've lined up a row of sweet birdies to send a thoughtful greeting.
My supplies are a grab bag this week - Altenew birds, Hero Arts sentiment, Stampin'Up! splotches.
This cool sketch is sure to get some fabulous entries in our gallery! I can't wait to see them all.
Thanks for dropping by!

CAS(E) This Sketch 226
Hello!
For this week's CAS(E) This Sketch challenge I've used my favourite colour - Yellow! I really love yellow, black, and white together. :-)
I used Altenew Wild Hibiscus stamps. The sentiment is Simon Says Stamp, I think (it's an old one).
Isn't this a cool sketch? I love it.
As this goes live, I'll be heading into my last day in Sydney before heading home to my family for the week-end. I really love Sydney, but I really don't love travelling for work and being away from my family. Two weeks in a row is enough to last me several months. I'll cross my fingers I get to stay home for a while now. ;-)
Thanks for dropping by! I hope you're inspired to join us in the fun!

Fusion - Paris Rain
Hello!
This week's inspiration at Fusion Challenge is beautiful. The inspiration photo is perfect for watercolours. I chose to use just the sketch this week, mainly because I ran out of time to create the watercolour beauty that I had imagined!
I did go with the "rainy" theme in making my card a sympathy card.
I used Altenew Wild Hibiscus and Painted Sentiments stamps.
This sketch is a classic and in my card I've gone ultra-CAS in my take on it. Isn't that inspiration beautiful?
Thank-you for visiting!

Altenew August Challenge
Hello!
Have you seen the inspiration over at Altenew's August Challenge? Flamingoes! They're so fabulous I just had to join in. There are already many, many beautiful cards in the gallery. It's worth heading over to take a look - they're GORGEOUS!
This is my card for the challenge.
I used Wild Hibiscus and Label Love stamps. I masked the butterflies and stamped flowers and leaves in the background in a very pale warm grey. I love how this turned out.
Thanks for dropping by to visit!

CAS(E) This Sketch 177
Hello!
It's time for CAS(E) This Sketch! And what a wonderful sketch it is! Our sketch this week is one that you can go to over and over for inspiration afresh. I can't wait to see what you all come up with. This is my card.
I used Altenew Wild Hibiscus and Wplus9 Hand Lettered Hello stamps.
I am a couple of days away from going on holidays. I'm very excited. We're off to Budapest in Hungary for a few weeks and stopping in Dubai on the way for a short stopover. I've never been to Budapest... or Dubai! While I'm away, I may not get a lot of time to visit blogs, although I may if I have to wait around in airports for any extended period of time!
There are so many things to organise before we go. I'm fairly certain I'll sleep all the way there from exhaustion.
Thanks for visiting!

Happy Little Stampers - CASE The Designer
Hello!
I was browsing the internet (a rare treat for me these days) when I found that over at Happy Little Stampers we have the opportunity to CASE Joyce this month! How could I resist? Especially when it's Joyce, and Joyce's card is so beautiful.
This is my card. I used Altenew Wild Hibiscus stamps.

This is Joyce's inspiration card. Definitely hard to make a card more beautiful than this, it's super gorgeous. (Those Beautiful Day stamps are still sitting on my wishlist, awaiting the day that I finally decide to brave the USD-AUD exchange rate and place an order.) ;-)
Thank-you for popping in to visit!

CAS(E) This Sketch 154
Hello!
Welcome to our first CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge for 2016! We have a super sketch to start the year off and I hope you all join in the fun!
For my card I used Altenew Wild Hibiscus stamps to create a little flurry of butterflies.
Stamped in Tuxedo Black with some yellow sequins for a little colour.
I also made a second card while I was inspired by this awesome sketch using Waltzingmouse Fine Feathers and Altenew Label Love.
I could have kept going. I love this sketch!
Thanks for coming by to visit!

Fusion 2nd Anniversary Celebration
Hello!
Happy New Year!
Today we celebrate two years of Fusion Card Challenge! We've all invited some guest designers to join in the fun. The inspiration photo is gorgeous and the sketch is super. I just know you'll be inspired to join us with your own creation!
I used Altenew Wild Hibiscus and PTI Scripted and Teach & Inspire stamps to create my card.
The guest designer that I invited along is Michele Ferguson from I Card Everyone, who I admire greatly for her gorgeous CAS creations. Michele is a wonderful, fun, and friendly person, and I'm so glad I made friends with her!
Michele made two cards and because I couldn't choose just one, I had to share both!
Aren't they beautiful?!
I hope you join us in our 2nd year celebrations! Thanks for visiting!

{CASE}ing Genius Challenge
Hello!
Kelly Latevola of You and Your Big Dreams is hosting a {CASE}ing Genius Challenge to celebrate the 1st anniversary of her {CASE}ing Genius series. We get to CASE one of the Geniuses. I am one of those who was honoured to be CASEd by Kelly. I'm not CASEing myself, haha! I am CASEing someone that I admire and that I have never CASEd before - the fabulous Brandi Hall.
For my card, I chose three of Brandi's cards to CASE. They all have a wonderful green card base and bright florals. My card stayed very close to Brandi's original inspiration.
I used Altenew Wild Hibiscus and Wplus9 sentiment stamps. I did lots of masking!
Brandi's cards are here. Aren't they awesome?

Kelly asked us to nominate someone we would like to see as a Genius. I would love to see Kelly CASE Tracey McNeely, especially her fabulous tags!
Looking back at the rules just before I post, I realise I was supposed to CASE one of Brandi's original cards from the Genius post. Oops! I'm still entering. My card works as a CASE of either of Brandi's floral cards in the original post. ;-)
Thanks for coming to visit!

Happy 13th Birthday!!
Hello!
Today I celebrate my first-born daughter's 13th birthday! I can't believe 13 years have passed already. She's growing into such a lovely young lady with a very kind heart.
This is her birthday card.
I used Altenew Wild Hibiscus and Label Love stamps. The tiny sentiment is Wplus9. I did some subtle colouring using Copics.
I'm entering this into the current Virginia's View challenge.
My daughter spent the last 10 days on Flinders Island, way down south in Tasmania, with her aunt and uncle. What a wonderful holiday! If I can get some of her photos on my computer, I'll share with you. Flinders is all natural beauty.
Flying from Flinders back to Melbourne, she arrived at Essendon Airport and needed to transfer to Melbourne Airport at Tullamarine (a short 8km away). There was no easy transport option that I was comfortable with her taking by herself, at least not on this first solo trip, so I flew down to meet her and transfer her home. While I waited for her flight I had a couple of hours spare, so I went walking around Melbourne. What a beautiful day!
Thanks for coming to visit!

The view from Southgate across to the city.
The view from Princes Bridge with Southgate on the left and the city on the right.
Flinders Street Station, always so photogenic.
Art at Southgate.
And last, but not least, the birthday girl herself.
It's so good to have her home. :-)Thanks for coming to visit!

CAS(E) This Sketch 143
Hello!
It's time for another CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge! Chrissy's sketch is AWESOME! I had so much fun thinking up a card for it. :-) I ended up with flowers and a butterfly in soft pink and purple.
I used Altenew Wild Hibiscus stamps and SU! Hello You! dies. I stamped in Tuxedo Black and added just a touch of Copic colour and a little bit of silver glimmer.
I rarely fill the top of my card like this. It was so refreshing to use a different layout that challenged me to move out of my comfort zone. Thanks, Chrissy!
Please take a little time to visit the other team members and leave some love. They've made gorgeous cards this week, as always!
Thanks for dropping in!

Playing Cards with Michele and Friends
Hello!
I'm playing cards with Michele Ferguson again, but this time it's even better! We're playing with more friends all together, and we're CASEing Michele! Jenni came up with the idea of CASEing Michele's two colour split image card, but adding a twist with a masculine theme. Talk about a CHALLENGE!
Those of us playing are:
Me :-)
Michele
Chriss
Jenni
It took me forever, and I've only just finished my card at the very last minute, but I did make a card that met the theme - two tone masculine split image.
I used Mama Elephant Party Kit. The sentiment is wPlus9. I embossed in white and silver on PTI soft stone and smokey shadow card. The method I used was to set out my stamps as I wanted them on my block, then stamp and emboss the base, then I lay the panel over the top of the base where I wanted it to end up, and stamped it in the correct position, then embossed that. Not a very elegant way to do it, but I was in a rush, and it worked! Yay!
Michele's inspiration card is this beauty:
I have a secret to tell you. There is a reason I made this card at the last minute. I knew I was playing with Jenni, Chriss, and Michele, and CASEing Michele's card, but I forgot about the two-tone masculine rules. So I made a completely different card to start with. This one here:
I used Altenew Wild Hibiscus stamps. Oh my goodness, these stamps are beautiful! Embossed in silver on white card and a frame of silver shimmer paper.
Okay, I'm late already, so I'd better post. Thanks for visiting! And be sure to visit the other girls, too!
