Hello!
I found a little time to play with some fun challenges this week-end. Yay! I was inspired by a sketch and a colour combo.
I eased out of my comfort zone of CAS one-layered cards to make this layered offering. Still CAS, but super busy compared to my usual cards, haha!
I used MFT Delicate Pretty Poppies stamps, a few Copics, and some retired SU! DSP.
The sketch is over at The Challenge. I substituted a rectangle for the circle because my chosen sentiment and the circle dimensions would not work together. ;-)
The colour combo is from Pals Paper Arts. Such beautiful earthy colours. Yum!
Thanks for visiting!

Playing with new toys!
Hello!
I have had some new toys arrive! The brand new Stampin' Up! Blendabilities alcohol markers were released on 1 July, and my order was in on 1 July! I may need every colour, but I started with yellow and green... for now... I've been watching for months as demonstrators all over the world showed off Blended Bloom coloured with markers, and knew my first order from the new catalogue well in advance, lol!
When I saw that the Pals Paper Arts Challenge colours included Daffodil Delight, I was off and running. I am just learning how to colour with alcohol markers, so don't look too close! ;-)
I used Stampin' Up! Blended Bloom and wPlus9 Hand Lettered Hello stamps. Colours are Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, and Whisper White.
I love the combination of navy and yellow and I love the excuse to use it!
Before I go, I'll share a photo from last night. We celebrated our niece's 21st birthday, and the restaurant was on the Maroochy River where we were treated to the most beautiful sunset. This photo is straight from the camera with no editing.
Thank-you for coming by to visit!

Welcome Little One
Hello!
I'm popping in quickly tonight to share a card I made for Retro Sketches and Pals Paper Arts.
I used Mama Elephant Nursery Deco and PTI Sweet Speech stamps. The paper is SU!
I flipped the sketch.
Thanks for visiting!

These colours are just fabulous, and I had the perfect paper to match, lucky me!
Not much to say. I'm a bit tired after a busy day at work. My brain has shut down already! It must be bedtime. ;-)Thanks for visiting!

Buon Compleanno, sorella!
Hello!
Here I am with a second card for today, yay! After this I will have to make some dinner and perhaps start my big move into the rumpus room corner I have been eyeing off. The move off the dining room table is well overdue and I think I've tested my family's patience enough on that score. ;-)
The card I've created here is for my step-sister's birthday, which is tomorrow. She is currently in Italy and her son (my nephew) was baptised yesterday in Florence. I wish I had been there. This card will never make it through the Italian post before she heads back to Australia, so I will give it to her virtually tomorrow and then physically when she comes home. :-)
This is the card. Forgive the wonky photo!
I used my new background stamp - Hero Arts Large Flower Background. I love this stamp. I've been coveting it for months. I finally picked it up at the expo yesterday. Colours are Night of Navy, Real Red, and Whisper White. The frame is PTI Fillable Frames #10. The sentiment is PTI Global Greetings. I used white embossing on the navy card base.
This is for Pals Paper Arts #136, which is a colour challenge.
I couldn't resist when I saw these colours.
and also for CASE Study #94, where Joy Taylor is muse this month! I tell you, there has been a run on some of my favourite card makers lately! Joy is awesome and I'm excited at the chance to CASE her. This is her card.
I used Joy's basic layout, but obviously changed the colours drastically. :-)
Thanks for dropping by!

CASE Study 85 and PPA132
Hello!
Still working on finding my mojo. I did better this morning. It wasn't so agonising! It probably helped that I had a gorgeous card by Laurie Schmidlin to push me on my way. :-) Laurie is the muse for April over at CASE Study. This is her card for CASE Study #85.
Pretty, don't you think? I decided I would pretty much CASE the entire layout, because it appeals to me so much (and I'm struggling with my mojo...)
I went looking for a colour combination to use and found Pals Paper Arts #132.
Yum! One of my favourite combinations!
And this is what I came up with.
Finding a big block image to use was a bit of a challenge in my stamp collection. I was also thinking about the Papercrafts Connection April Gallery Challenge and looking for a silhouette. I have found two massive holes that need filling, LOL!
For this card I used
Stamps: PTI Rosie Posie, PTI Think Big Favorites #13
Card: PTI vintage cream, SU! Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla
Paper: PTI Plain Jane
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake (distressing edges)
Embellishments: PTI Heart die, button; Twinery twine in Blossom
Thanks for dropping by to visit!

Happy 1st Birthday!
Hello!
Today I attended my niece's 1st birthday party. The card was made using the sketch from Pals Paper Arts Challenge #131 and the colours from CR84FN Challenge #50. I also made it with the guidelines from CAS-ual Fridays #44 which dictates that we use 1. A pattern 2. An image and 3. A sentiment.
It actually looks better in real life. It is very pretty. :-) I used the new PTI Anniversary Set Pretty Peonies (image and sentiment) and Hero Arts Zig Zag (my pattern). Colours are Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie, Apricot Appeal, Daffodil Delight. The dies are PTI.
And just before I go, I will give you a peek at my niece's very gorgeous cake.
Thanks for coming to visit! It is always lovely to see your comments.
