Last minute superstar!

Hello!

There is a super challenge going on over at the MFT Card Challenge blog. I've been watching the awesome entries loading over the past couple of weeks and kept thinking,  "I should sit down and enter this, too."  And then it came to today, the first time I've had two seconds spare, and I only have two seconds to go before the challenge closes! Well, two hours, but it FEELS like two seconds, haha!
I used my usual super-CAS style to come up with this card. I used MFT Complimentary Greetings and Stitched Circle Frame dies.
Today is a happy day for me. Today is the 16th anniversary of my marriage to my darling. We've spent 22 amazing years together, filled with heaps of fun and joy, interspersed with the usual challenges that a partnership (and kids) brings. :-)

Thanks for visiting!

CAS(E) This Sketch 131

Hello!

It's been a busy week. I've been delivering some training at work. It's been a while since I've been at the front of the classroom, and I'd forgotten how exhausting it can be!

I'm here with my card for this week's CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge. This week I finally tried a technique that has been on my "to do" list FOREVER - bokeh! It was fun and it was easy and I love how it turned out!
I used Distress Inks in Dusty Concord, Broken China, and Chipped Sapphire and then stamped PTI White dots. Then I stamped the stars (Wplus9 Whole Lot of Happy) and the sentiment (MFT Complimentary Greetings). Cardstock is PTI Soft Stone, SU! Night of Navy and Whisper White.
How cool is this sketch? I love it!

I hope you are inspired to join the fun this week!

Thanks for visiting!

You Are Pretty Amazing

Hello!

I'm still in love my with Super Girl and Super Boy. If I didn't think you would get tired of them, I'd use them non-stop for a long time. ;-)

This one I made for my little girl. I offered a card as a reward. She was keen on that idea. She was thrilled with this card. :-)
I used MFT You're Super and Complimentary Greetings along with MFT dies.
I'm entering this into CASology challenge where the theme is SHAPE. I used a circle.

Happy Mother's Day to  all of the mothers out there. I had a lovely morning tea with my Mum and Mum-in-law. I made the most AMAZING scones. I pinned them on Pinterest on my "food" board. My family gave me lovely presents. One present was an olloclip for my iPhone (pretty cool!). The best present of all was that my girls cleaned their bedrooms for me - a never-ending battle that I did not have to fight this week. Love those girls!

Fusion 11 - You are so beautiful

If you are here for my Case Study card, scroll down, or click HERE.

Hello!

The Fusion Card Challenge inspiration this week just sings out "love songs" to me. I probably should have found a sentiment that says "to me" for the inside of this card to finish off the song line... and now I have Jo Cocker singing in my head... Anyway, how are you inspired? I didn't use the sketch this week, just the inspiration photo.
I used a mix of washi tape, patterned paper, dies and stamping. The stamps are PTI Heart Prints and MFT Compimentary Greetings.

Unusually for me, I added a sentiment inside the card. I very much feel that beauty is much more related to what is inside a person than what they look like. When someone is beautiful inside, it glows on the outside.

Looking at this inspiration I was wishing I had some cutlery stamps, or little cutlery embellishments!

Thanks for visiting! I hope you have a little time to visit the other ladies on the team, too!

Fusion #10

Hello!

Wow time flies by quickly these days! It's already time for another Fusion Challenge, yay!

I cannot resist a black, white, and yellow colour combo. It is one of my all time favourite combinations. :-)  This week, I created a fusion of the inspiration photo and the sketch to come up with my card.
I used MFT Complimentary Greetings, Mama Elephant Basic Borders, and SU! Banner Blast. The yellow paper is SU! Watercolour Wonder.
As always, the team have come up with some beauties. I hope you can take some time to pop by and visit them.

Thank-you for coming by to visit me! I hope to see you over at Fusion with your take on this fabulous inspiration. :-)

CAS(E) This Sketch #74 - I'm on the team!!

Hello!

Today I'm feeling super-excited! I have joined the CAS(E) This Sketch design team! Woo hoo! This team is full of awesome card artists, and I will admit to feeling slightly overawed. I have been a fan of CAS(E) This Sketch since the very beginning, and some of my favourite cards have been made for this challenge (probably as a result of the brilliant sketches!). So, of course, being my first card as a DT member, I was suffering anxiety. I'm sure I'll get over it, lol!

This is my card, which has a liberal sprinkling of Perfect Pearls to make that champagne really sparkle! :-)
I used PTI Propose a Toast stamps and dies. Colours are PTI Fine Linen and Berry Sorbet, and Delicata Gold.
And because I couldn't help myself, I made a second card. Being pale pastels, it is slightly tricky to photograph.
I used MFT Complimentary Greetings, PTI Ruby Rose, and wPlus9 Whole Lotta Happy stamps. Colours are SU! Bashful Blue, Barely Banana, Hero Arts Soft Cantaloupe, Delicata Gold.

Thank-you for joining me here! I hope you join in with CAS(E) This Sketch to help me celebrate! :-)
