CAS(E) This Sketch 126

Hello!

When I saw the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch for this week, I envisioned a layered creation. Somehow I made a one-layer card instead, and managed to stamp the sentiment in the wrong spot, but I like it there, lol!
I used Altenew Striped Florals stamps with a little masking and coloured with Copics. The sentiment is from SU! Regarding Dahlias. I drew the frame with a Copic Multiliner.
Winter arrived this week. It snowed on Monday night down south (around Canberra and the snowfields) and the cold air made its way up here shortly afterwards. On the week-end we were in t-shirts and feeling hot, this week the mornings have had fresh 1 degree starts some days. It still gets to a very warm 20 degrees during the day, but the starts are slightly chilly (especially with no heating in the home).

Thanks for dropping by!

Love the way you framed this, Michelle! Your winter sounds a little like ours with that kind of temp swing. My kids still head out in the morning wearing shorts & t-shirts :)

Beautiful card Michelle, love how you managed to do it as a one layer. I am feeling the winter here too. As I travel to Canberra every week I notice the difference between Sydney andCanberra. Always say Canberra is wool weather whereas Sydney is acrylic, never quite as cold.

This is just gorgeous. I love your hand drawn frame. Did you get a new blog header? Or am I just noticing it? Lovely either way.

I love that this is a one-layer card, Michelle! Any inspiration for those is always welcome! I also love where you placed your sediment! We were 106 here yesterday, so some chill in the air sounds heavenly to me!! Hard to believe we can get that hot and we're only 45 minutes from San Francisco and the ocean, but there are lots of microclimates around here. Enjoy your day!! Hugs, Darnell
